By and large, we absolutely loved Thailand. In each of multiple locales, we found ourselves saying out loud that we’d seriously consider job offers that were based in Thailand. The people were very friendly, the culture/history was diverse, the landscapes were gorgeous, and there was such a wide variety of lifestyles throughout the country. After our cooking class in Chiang Mai where we realized how incredibly easy most dishes are, we were more inclined to eat Thai food regularly rather than choosing something off the “western menu”. We were a bit disappointed as we began to realize that every major city had the same basic attractions – really old temples, beaches with clear water, and jungle hikes – but hey, when is any of that actually a bad thing? We took breaks from seeing each of those things, and seemed to enjoy them again the next time we saw them. Thailand is a country that we would come back to in a heartbeat.
